I have a 3390 doing the exact same thing. I have disassembled and reassembled this 4 times and I cannot see anything wrong. Anybody (DavidZ) out there have a solution for this issue? Also, I have checked the setting on the duplex unit and the gears.

I was able to get the side panel off and found the arm you spoke of not attached where it ought to have been, but the gears appear to be intact. Any chance you have an idea what I need to do to keep the arm connected where it should be? I'm at my wits end.

Office Pro X576DW MFP - 0xc6fd0002 Printhead error
Just purchased an Office Pro X576DW MFP multi function printer 2 weeks ago. After the first few days of use it started having paper jams (multiple times a day). Now it has a error "Printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed - 0xc6fd002" on the main screen and will not operate.
Have had good luck with HP printers in the past, but this new printer is not starting out the best....any ideas on what to do or similar issues?

Hello,
It is really odd that you are getting the error 0xc6fd002 and the message "Printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed" on a X576.
You might want to contact HP for this. There is problably a problem with the Ink system and the unit might need to be service.

I just replaced all my ink catridges, did a test, clean print heads, made sure that they are vented.
my printer is just over a year old and isnt under warranty any more.
did it just die? do i need to buy another printer?

Problem with laserjet m176n and windows 2003 server
Hi,
I'm fighting with a M176n since many days to be able to print from a windows 2003 terminal server.
The printer is hosted on a Windows 2008 R2 server and shared with X86 and X64 drivers. I took the package without instsaller from HP website.
With that I'm able to print from windows 7 workstation but it won't print from the terminal server session, even from the admin one.
Print job is instantly deleted from the queue..
in the print and service log I have this event :

Inkjet printers are simple, there are only a few components that are related to placing ink to paper. The biggest problem area is the cartridge, which contains the ink and contacts to the printer carriage. The second most likely problem area is the printheads.
You mentioned cleaning the printheads which suggests that they were not built into your cartridges. That means the next step is to replace the printheads. Between the new cartridges and new printheads your black prints should return to normal.

Why Does HP Recommended Driver Fail to Install?
My platform is Windows 2008 x64. I go to the following HP resource to download a driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8100 ePrinter:
Before I download the driver, I select Microsoft Windows Sever 2008 x64 from the dropdown list, click Next, expand Driver-Product Installation Software(1), click Download, select either option (use HP download and install assistant or select download only), and click Next. Once the download is complete and the install begins, the following error occurs:
System Corrections Required. This computer does not meet the following system requirements. The operating system of this computer is not supported. This software can only be install on computers running the following Windows operating systems:
1) Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or better (32-bit only).
2) Windows Vista
3) Windows 7
Upgrade the operating system of this computer or install this software on another computer system. The installation cannot continue. Follow the instructions above to resolve the issue listed and then restart the installation.
Since I am using the recommended driver, how do I resolve this?

HP Lazerjet M2727 Scanner Issue
Hi Friends,
I just recently upgraded our office laptop to Windows 8.1 (we have 64-bit) and now we can't able to print to our HP Laserjet m2727nfs All In One and can't scan. I have looked out at some posts and tried their suggestions with no luck. The laptop is not recognizing the printer as an Imaging Device.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have tried numerous attempted fixes like removing and reinstalling drivers, moving port from DOT4 to LPT1, and even tried adding legacy device. None of that worked.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think I got the IP from the printer itself, and then went into preferences > printers, add printer, then hit the IP button and added it as an address. I'm on mac though.

OfficeJet Pro X476W - message 0xc6fd0013 printhead missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed
Hi, All has been well with this printer until a couple of days ago. Whist making the right kind of noises - It just stopped printing, or occasionally {in response to print requests) spat out a blank page or two .
I've tried cleaning the print head, but it just cycles through a loop and does nothing, switched if off and on at the wall point, removed and re-inserted ink cartridges, removed turned and replaced the duplex roller, blah blah - all the usual stuff.
But... I've never seen such an error script before - so that is worrying. Has the printer just died on me?
If so, is it possible to replace the printhead on one of these?
Any guidance on how to resolve this problem please?

LJ 4345 MFP scan to email
Hi, we have set up scan to email on this machine.
It works fine sending to our company accounts, but we get delivery error for sending to gmail.com accounts.
Our smtp server is aspmx.l.google.com and all the email.
What settings should be done to correct this problem.

necessary tray while printing
Dear all,
i hope my english is good enough (Im sorry) for following case.
We have a customer with the printer "LaserJet CMModellserie 6040 MF".
The Trays has different kinds of papers (tray 1 is logo paper, tray 3 is the normal one, tray 5 is A3, etc)
Tray 1-4: A4
Tray 5: A3

We decided the tray 4 for "preprinted" so that the tray 3 have to use for copying.
The issue currently is:
The Printer will take the next tray if the currently one is emtpy. (for example: if tray 3 is empty he will take tray 2). But it should only the relevant tray and not another one.
I can change the option into "Erfoderliches Fach verwenden: ausschließlich":

And it works. But they'll get another issue - they can't print A3 anymore. The Tray 3 needs A3 paper then and not tray 5 anymore.
The A3 printer takes tray 3 after the change (i have no clue why). It works after we're cancel the option back into "Erforderliches Fach verwenden: zuerst".
So we have still the problem with the necessary tray and we can't change if because the a3 print problem.
Any ideas?
