I would assume you have something misconfigured or corrupted on your print server. Either the printer drivers you have loaded are corrupted or the printer objects/queues themselves are and need to be replaced.
Start by trying to isolate the problem to the print server or the printer. If you can print locally while direct connected to the 1312 without problems then you know the printer is fine. If you can reproduce the problem while USB direct connected then there could be a firmware problem on the printer.
Its also possible that the application you are printing from is confusing the printer. Try printing images from a few different applciations to see if the problem is related to a specific file format or not. If so then reinstall that application and see if the problem is resolved.
