Not sure what you are upset about.  HP doesnt make parts forever and once the stock pile is gone, its gone.  Likewise if you are out of warranty then HP has fulfilled it obligation to service your printer.  After that you are on your own just like with any other product or service from any company. 

 

Try asking your HP repair show what parts they need and search for them online yourself.  Once you have the parts then bring them back into the repair shop so that they can complete the repairs for you.  Chances are after you purchase the replacement parts and pay the service shop you will have already exceeded 50% of the cost of a new printer anyways.  Most would simply avoid the hassle, junk it, and move on to a different model or printer vendor.
