HP Laserjet Pro 400 color MFP m475dn - persistent 49 Service Error

I have an HP Laserjet Pro 400 color MFP m475dn that is a little over a year old and has been working fine.

We recently moved location and since moving I have not been able to get the printer to work.  It persistently presents a "49 Service Error" and "Turn off turn on" message but then restarts itself and loops through this sequence endlessly.

I have tried resetting the NVRAM.  I initially tried the "right arrow and cancel buttons sequence", as listed on a few forums but this did nothing at all.  Ultimately I found some advice to hold the touch screen at the bottom right corner and then turn on (continuing to touch the screen) until the message "Permanent stogare init." was returned.  This worked.  However, it then went on to reinitialise and restart, returning to the 49 Service Error.

So, I cannot get to the stage where I have a functioning touch screen to work with in order to try other things.

Any suggestions?

The printer is not connected to anything (other than power - and no surge protector in the line).

Is it possible that the 49 error indicates that something got shaken up in the move?  I think it was handled pretty well.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks.
