We have a client with an Officejet X576 multifunction. They scan a lot of files and email them. However, when they scan to the computer with the HP scan software the files are very large. They have taken down DPI to 200, which is the lowest they can go. A five page document is 1557kb in size. When we scan the same document to the USB port on the printer the file size is 614kb. That is less than half the size scanning at the same settings as when it is scanned to the computer. They have the scanning set to black and white PDF at 200dpi. Does anyone know of any issues with the HP scanning software that would cause it to make large files.
