We just purchased a HP Color LaserJet flow MFP M880 with the booklet finisher. When I try to make a booklet it stacks the sheets of paper backwards. I can't seem to figure out how to make it reverse the order.
The booklet is printed on 8.5 x 11 paper folded in half (so the book is 8.5" tall and 5.5" wide) and I am using MIcrosoft Publisher 2010. What I am getting is:
- The 1st sheet of paper has pages 4 & 5 on the front, with pages 6 & 3 on the back.
- The 2nd sheet of paper has 2 & 7 on the front, with 8 & 1 on the back.
The printer stacks the 2nd sheet on top of the first sheet, folds it and staples it. This makes my book appear in the following order: Page 3 is the cover, then you open the book and see pages 4 & 1. Turn the page (now you're looking at the middle of the book) and you see page 2 & 7. Turn the page and you get 8 & 5. Close the book at you see page 6.
If the printer is reordering the pages correctly, the problem is it should spit out sheet of paper 2 (as I described above) and THEN sheet of paper 1. Take those two pages and fold them in hallf and the book is perfect.
So, how do I make it reverse the order of the pages?
