Thank you for the added explanation, as it does clarify what they told me. They did, however, tell me they are aware of the issue, are working on it, and are hoping to have a fix for this issue soon in an update to the printer.
Just a note, though......I turn off the Jetpack periodically throughout the day and at night, and both the router extender and the printer seem content with it. The router does keep the "home" network up which means we can still print from desktop, laptop, etc without needing the internet signal. As soon as I turn the Jetpack on again, the router and then the printer both go online without a hitch.
