Hello,
The Fatal error messages can be reviewed in detail in the installation logs. Those logs are normally stashed out in a directory like C:\Users\<userID>\AppData\Local\Temp\HPbcsiInstaller.log. If you post these logs for us to review we should be able to confirm exactly what went wrong with the install.
That being said, chances are your install had a problem finishing the creation of the printer object on your machine. I say this with confidence as we normally error out in the 95-99% range from time to time too. Either there was a similarly named printer that interferred or another print driver took over and changed the name before the install could finish. Print object Hijacking is a common occurance when an HP Universal Print Driver is previously installed. When that is the case you can clean up the competitive print drivers and objects and try again.
Last line of defense is a manual installation of the printer driver and scanning features. The HP install folder contains several individual .exes that can be fired off by hand to complete the installation of all the features.
Take another look for us and post back if you are still having troubles.
