This doesnt sound like a problem with the printer.
SharePoint applies its own security to the folders, librarys and resources that it manages. If you can scan documents to other locations without problems then you need to review and correct your SharePoint 365 configuration.
Try setting up an area with no security parameters under the SharePoint 365. Proove that it can work and then start adding in security roles one at a time. Eventually you will isolate which particular security setting is getting in the way.
