I am experiancing the same issue. Albeit my scanner is setup with the job build off. The user is scanning docs that then create a 125kb file which is corrupt but not everytime (the same as the attachements in the first post). We upgraded the firmware to the 2011 firmware, but it seems to be still doing this.
Also another printer out of the blue has also started doing this. It seems that as of today it has started doing the same thing. I suspect it may have something to do with the connection to the server or something else server related and not printer related as my other machines where not able to verify until they where rebooted.
Any news on an update? Will be trying the 2013 firmware tomorrow to see if this resolves the issue.
