On RHEL 6.4 hplip-3.13.11 is installed. The first fax was sended successfully. Another fax at a later time would not send - probably due to fax-line problems. A queue of about 10 attempts had piled up. They were all cancelled and removed using the HP Device Manager with "Fax Control" .
Now the sequence "Actions", "Send Fax", "Select Files to Send" does not allow to "Add" a file: after entering the file name the file name is not displayes on the display field. The file name, however, shows up in the "Fax Control" "Job Queue" listing marked as "Printing". It hangs there forever (for any PDF file) and does not allow to enter the option "Next". The cm1322nfi FAX hardwar does not show reveiving any information.
When opting for the "Include Coverpage" and NOT any "Add" under "Select Files to Send", the Cover Page is listed and the "Next" button is active. :Select Fax Recipients" allows entering a choice and press "Next". "Ready to send fax" comes up, but the option "Send Fax" does not activate the cm1312nfi. (Priniting on the cm1312nfi works and the FAX using the hardware scanner on the cm1312nfi does work).
After some time "Send Fax" reports "Fax send error (Possible cause: No answer or dial tone).
Any suggestions on how to repair this issue?
