I have a HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer that I am using with my PC (Windows 7 64 bit). I do not have a Windows 7 HP install CD, so I have tried installing the driver found at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=1119598#N224 . All it does is try to install, over and over again. It always finishes but pops up "HP would like to install your printer". I can print from my computer, but I can not use any other feature. I have tried the HP Doctor install and it says there are problems with my HP driver, please re-install. That doesnt work. I have tried every driver install for this printer that I can find and still only printing, no scan or fax. It is pretty much worthless if I can not scan. Does anybody have any suggestions? There is no warranty left on the printer. Again, I can print but not scan or fax or anything.
