If you have the error, unplug the unit from the network or computer. Now turn on the unit and see if it comes to ready. If it does you have a print job trying to print which is causing the error. Delete all print jobs from the printq of all computers that attach to that printer. If not an error and you just want to do a NVRAM reset which is really not recommended as setting can change you have to turn the machine off, and turn back on and when the memory starts to count press and hold the 9 key until all three lights come on solid.
