I recently installed a M476dn to replace a non-HP MFP. The issue is in scanning multiple documents to PDF. The challenge is that there may be 20 different sets of documents to scan, and as a walk up device, the menu configuration isn't as efficient as we would like. The goal is to scan the documents to Network.
On the previous MFP, once the menu was selected for Scan to Network, the settings would hold for a few seconds after the scan job finished and you could very easily start another scan job without having to use touchscreen to choose Scan ->> Scan to Network --> <choose destination> options. Now, there is frustration because after every single docuement scanned (typically, multi-paged), you have to repeatedly choose all the same choices on the touch-screen menu.
Is there any way to configure the scanning function to retain it's settings for a few seconds so another scan job could be quickly started if one so chose?
