If your router is Ethernet cable connected to the printer then you should be selecting the normal wired network installation option from the installer.  You only use the wireless installation option when you directly connect to the printers self broadcasting wireless network and without the assistance of the home network.  Ignore wireless for now.

If you are able to get the installation to complete but it breaks at a later time then your printer may be loosing network connection with your PC.  A quick and easy way to improve something like that is to assign the printer a Static IP address on your home network.  A static IP address is one that never changes and resides outside of the normal DHCP pool of automatic IP addresses supported by your router.  That way you can avoid your router automatically assigning it a different IP Address than whatever your computer was previously referancing.

Try assinging a static IP and see if it improves the situation.  We can dig into the log files from there if necessary.
