Not sure if others out there are getting hit with scans from Nessus and this vulnerability, but I hope someone can help.
The one related to this printer as well as the Color Laserjet CP2025dn is
"The root account on the CIFS/Samba server has 'password' set as the password on the account"
I use HP Jet Admin and although I can connect to this printer and manage it, there is not an option to disable CIFS/SMB sharing. Many HP printers through web admin or telnet give many options to disable pretty much anything you want. On these printers though, no such luck. I thought it may be possible to enable a password on PJL, but I dont think it is linked to this. The Nessus scan does not show the folder that was mounted, so I cannot test trying to mount it in windows after setting a PJL password. I also have already set a EWS password so I dont think that is linked either.
Anything anyone has experienced would be greatly appreciated before we just need to take all these off the network.
