So this is a scan to folder problem?
There should be a scan to folder wizard that is launched when you sign into the EWS (Embedded Web Server). Once you configure a folder for scanning you should be able to test your connection and recieve a status message. What kind of an error are you recieving from the printer when you attempt to scan?
Normally the folder security options of the destination are what get in the way of the scan to folder feature. Users need to carefully evaluate the security options to make sure that an annonymous device like the M476dw printer has full read/write permissions. A good test is to confirm that the Everyone group is added with full access when there are security problems and then work your way back from there.
