Re: HP LaserJet 500 color MFP M575 Scan-To-Folder Problem

Hi,

I have a brand new M575dn, which is connected via a network cable to my (single) laptop running Win 7 Home Premium x64 , and I am trying to get the "Save to Network Folder" to work, but have run up against this warning:

1. A Save to Network Folder Quick Set requires user credentials for write access.  Control panel access to Save to Network Folder should require a network sign-in method.

and if I attempt to scan to a shared folder on the network, I get the message "The network folder path specified does not exist."

This seems to be the same problem the original poster encountered, and solved, so I would be really grateful for more details on the solution. I have no domains, but when I "inserted random credentials in there" it did not work but brought up the message "Invalid Folder Share Credentials".
