Still no solution to this. I opened a case with HP and did not get resolution. Now we have a second one of these on our network and it is doing the exact same thing.
The power save features turn off the network card on the printer. Once it is turned off, our network jack does not detect any activity and goes to sleep - since it sees that lack of activity as though there is nothing plugged in at all. Once this occurs there is now way to wake up the printer across the network.
