Officejet 9110 and windows 7

I recently had to replace an existing office computer. The new computer is an HP running windows 7 pro. I am unable to install the drivers for the officejet 9110 . Printer is connected to computer by USB.

  • If I try using the disk I get error message stating I need a internet explorer 5 or newer, its running the latest and greatest....I have tried installing the disk without printer being connected and with printer being connected doesn't seem to makes difference.
  • I have try using the PnP and windows fails to install them.
  • I also connected (USB) an epson printer (+/- 4yrs old) and the PnP worked flawlessly. The computer recognized it immediately and prints great so this appears to be an HP issue.

Not sure if the fact that the new computer is 64bit has anything to do with this issue. I have old software that is 32bit running on it just fine it never occurred to me that the printer would not work.....

I know the the printer is old (6 yrs) but it still works just fine and I really do not want to replace it. It is extremely critical that I get this printer up and running so any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated.

Thanks Susan
