One of your scanning services has gone rogue on you. I suggest looking through your Task Manager and find anything relating to scanning/imaging/HP and manually shutting it down as it may not have gotten properly uninstalled. Clean up the computer in addition to restoring the defaults on your LJ3390. Once everything is set back to a clean state then attempt to reinstall and reconfigure for scanning in your enviornment.
