79 error is a operating system error. In other words the printer is confused and does not know what to do. Most times the error is caused by a bad print job. The first action you need to take is to disconnect the printer from the network or computer and just have the power cord going to it. Turn it on and see if it comes to ready. If it does, print something frm the menu on the printer. If that works, then the issue is most likely a bad print job. Make sure all print jobs have been deleted from computers that print to this unit.
