Scan to e-mail can be configured through EWS like http://h20464.www2.hp.com/Media/8AC01BDC-F910-4F21-9F57-03FB9137F044/s03_tasks/ss01scan_send/p07_setup_scan_emailNW.html.
You can also use the embedded web server. In your web browser type in the IP address of your device -> Go to the "scan" tab -> on the left menu choose "Outgoing e-mail profiles" -> Walk through answering all of the required fields.
Common stumbling areas:
1. User doesn't know the SMTP server. If you are using free mail, you can google this, otherwise you need to get this from your IT administrator.
2. User setup a manual IP address on the device and the company firewall won't allow the communication through without the DNS server specified. Go to the "networking" tab, on the left menu choose "network identification" and make sure the DNS server is specified. If you use a DHCP configuration for networking this will automatically get specified.
You can do a similar thing with scan to folder. I haven't tried scan to cloud, so I can't help there...
