The only way to get scanning software for your OS on this printer model is via the Full Software Solution. Since you are not able to complete the installation wizard you will have to turn your attention to debugging your install.
There is an individual .msi for the scan app on this model located in the installation files. You can find it under
<install root dir>\setup\product\Scan_App\HPScanLJCM1410.msi.
However, I suggest you debug your full software install first because any issues you encounter from the wizard will likely be encountered by installing the software directly too.
To debug the full software solution you should check your machine for install logs. Normall HP tucks them away under C:\Users\<userID>\AppData\Local\Temp. Organizing this folder alphabetically you should find some hpxxx.log files with more details on what happened. If you can locate the log then shoot it to us for review by attaching it to your thread.
