Thank you all for the attention to detail, it helps me to recognize that I'm not crazy. I have been having the exact same problem with this printer and have spent countless hours trying to find a solution. We have a filemaker pro DB soultion that creates PDF's of documents and collates them before sending them to the printer as a batch. Often we print 75-100 pages at a time... The misery of waiting for this printer to finish is enough to drive you to drink.
However if we pre assemble the PDF into on large document, it will print with blazing speed.
This is a problem that must be fixed.
