So, this did not work. I finally contacted HP customer support and they said this is a known issue for the type of connection I am using for internet. I am using a Verizon Mifi Jetpack. Evidently, the printer's software has a problem with this type of wifi signal.
What they told me to do is to get a wireless extender and use that to connect everything. I've bought a NetGear WN3000RP. The HP customer service person said that I should disable the DHCP in the Mifi Jetpack. What happens if I do this? Will the Netgear unit take over this process? I currently have it hooked up, and it's been an hour and the printer is still working, but I have not disabled the Mifi's DHCP server...........should I? If I do so, will I have to configure anything again?
