I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit on my laptop. I was able to print and scan but a few days ago, the scan option disappeared:
When I go in Windows Fax and Scan and try to scan, I get this:
In Devices and Printers, I removed the printer, I also uninstalled the driver from Device Manager. I tried installed HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5 and HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 and HP LaserJet USB (DOT4) communication driver for Windows 8 (64- bit) from HP but none of it worked. In the following screenshot,
the first option is the one that is installed automatically by Windows Update.
I also tried following the directions in HP LaserJet and Color LaserJet All-in-Ones - Use the software in Windows 8 to scan and HP LaserJet - Driver and software support for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 but none of that works.
Please help me enable the scanning features of my LaserJet 3030 All-in-One (always connected through USB (3.0) -- never through network). It was working a few days ago (February 2014), I don't understand what happened...
