printing to wrong paper size

Hello

I bought a HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color MFP M475DW 10 days ago. And so far, it has been a disappointment. The setup proved more difficult then I thought. It would be handy if there was a complete and clear manual available, but it seems there's not.

The problem I'm facing now is the paper size. Everywhere I can (via the web interface, via the screen, via de dialog box when I click 'print' ...), I have set Tray 2 to A4. But I have the impression that somehow the printer thinks it's printing on Letter format or something. When I print a page, in shrinks the content, leaving me with ridiculously big margins. Usually the paper doesn't come out all the way, but it stops when there's still a few centimeters to go (causing a "paper jam" error message.

I just tried to print a test page (via the menu). It took me 5 failed attempts (every time, the front side was printed, but then it stopped and there was a "paper jam" error message) before I managed to get a full recto-verso printed test page. The test page looks ok. But when I try to print a text page, it goes wrong again. It resizes en moves the item on my page (that is, if the page manages to get though without getting jammed).

Apart from that, I also noticed a unnatural 'hissing' sound when I try to print something. I used several printers already, I know what a normal printer sounds like. But this doesn't sound healthy.

I really don't know what I can do more. I hope there are some specialists on this forum. If not, I'll have to use the "14 days return option" quickly.

Thanks in advance!
