Hope there is no issue with the network configuration of printer and computer if both are in different subnets. Do verify the gateway IP address provided for both printer and PC. Verify if you are able to access EWS page (web access) of the printer on the computer where setup is unable to detect the device.
You may also try with a one to one network connection between the PC and printer for scanning configuration purpose and later restore back to earlier network setup.
