Re: m3035 - How do I verify the hard disc is dead?

I should note that I suspect the hard disc because we can no longer digitally send anything from the mfp. It was sending fine until last week when it started giving the "E-mail gateway not responding" error. It will not "send to folder" either.

I have tried cold resetting and when I tried to re-initialize the hard disc (press and hold "5" etc.) no option to do re-initialize appeared on the printer's lcd panel screen. Also on restart, there appears an icon in the lower right of the lcd panel of a hard disc with a moving magnifying glass (searching for the disc?).

 

The only odd errors are these two and one without a description. All other errors were paper jam related.
