Using Windows 8.1 on a Lenovo Ideabook thru a Targus USB 3.0 DV Dock. When the paper tray empties during a print job, the print job restarts at the beginning after the paper tray is reloaded. This means many pages are re-printed.

Re: CM3530 - Flatbed cover open error
I have the same problem. I get a flatbed cover open error message when the ADF cover is closed. I unplugged all the cables to the scanner board and plugged them all back in. Pressing down directly the flatbed sensor switch does not turn off or stop this error message. I cannot use the ADF or the flatbed glass to copy/scan at all.
I wonder if it is a bad scanner board or is it a bad flatbed cover sensor switch?
The previous message was from 2009 so I assume and ask if this particular phantom error had been solved. What was the fix?

Hi, New to the forum. I have a cm2320fxi and I saw this post. I know its old post but the situation is similar. I am printing fine. When copying, very light even I adjust the contrast and brightness. color copier is practically not viewable. very pale. Scanning seems better but have a similar issue. I saw the post for changing the scanner assembly, but I did not see subsequent post if that is the solution. Is CC436-67902 the correct replacement part number? Please advise.

Error 0xc6fd0113 on OfficeJet x576dw
I have been getting error 0xc6fd0113 on my OfficeJet x576dw, it has been happening infrequently for about a month but now after each page get the error stating there is a printer or ink system failure with the error code 0xc6fd0113.
The machine is 12 days out of warranty!!! Argghhh!
Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay in responding. I thought I had replied.
The hanging happens off and on in all software. I can bring up Word and it will hang after sending to pring and the "Process..." dialog box shows up. In Quickbooks, it hangs and freezes everything until the printer prints. On Friday, I had problems up to the mid afternoon. Suddenly, everything started printing at regular speed and no hanging.
The firmware datecode on the printer is 20121205. I just updated it to 20140521.
The PC is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.
We are going to see if updating the firmware works. Will follow up. Thanks.

I dont think this is a firmware problem, but updating firmware is a standard troubleshooting step so go for it. Printer firmware only controls what happens on the printer while you are describing a slowdown on your computer. The driver is mainly repsonsible for printer actions on a computer and should be where you are looking for solutions. Not sure what print driver you currentl have installed but HP offers several Universal Print Drivers on thier Drivers and Download page for your printer model. Try out one of the different varieties of UPD such as PCL5, PCL6 and PS to see if you can improve the situation.
If its not the driver then a core printing function on your Win7 machine may be having the issue. Most of the time when core printing is disrupted like the print spooler service it is often best to start with a reload of that machine and work your way back. Win7 also has a printing service called splWoW64 that is known to hang jobs. Sometimes all you need to do is find the splWow64 process running in your task manager and manually shut it down to get the print jobs moving again, although its only a temporary fix.
Anyways, good luck and keep us posted if you discover more information.

Re: CM2320 nf cleaning all the time
Just wanted to note these setting did stop the cleaning/misfeed problem, but created more curl in the paper than was acceptable. To overcome this go into the "extended print mode" settings and choose the curl-up option for fusing on heavy paper. If a legal tray is utilized, also change the default paper type to heavy. If you don't, everything will print on legal.

lovely young man came out today from HP, and replaced, the USB slot, and the board at the back of the machine, we proved the cable was still fine. BUT he (I was definitely not int eh room at this point) managed to break a different bit - so that's been ordered and he's coming back to replace the fuser tomorrow.
HP have been super helpful and REALLY glad the printer was still under warranty.

Re: Deskjet 2540 Scanner Unreachable
I'm an IT Manager. I just bought a Deskjet 2540 yesterday for its ability to print from an iPad using the built-in local wireless. That works great.
That said, HP apparently never even tested the scanning function on this printer before selling it. It doesn't work with either USB or over wireless. I've had two different HP techs remote in and do all of the same deinstall/reinstall plug/unplug steps that I had already done. They couldn't fix it.
The Print and Scan Doctor says it needs a 'full install' of the software for scanning to work. When I install the 'full install' driver set (DJ2540_188.exe), it even says it's a 'basic install' during the installation. There is no real 'full install' available on the HP driver site. Their idea of full install apparently is that basic install plus all of the extra photo editing, auto-update, 'help us improve our product' crap.
HP - I'm now helping to improve the product. In looking through reviews and blogs, a lot of people are having the same issue. Have someone in your testing lab actually get this to work over USB and wireless, and then publish an updated driver set and/or firmware for the device and/or instructions. This printer is about to be returned to the store and swapped for a different brand.

I saw there is new firmware and was hoping to fix the problem with the firmware update since I need to run that anyway. I used the full software solution driver downloaded from HP site to install the printer and what I installed is the same as on the HP site. I was hoping to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling the printer because I don't want to lose the scan profiles. But, I'll go ahead and see if I can save the profile and do an uninstall and reinstall of the printer too.

LJP 300 color MFP M300nw print probems
I have all new laser cartridges. When printing, a black "shadow" appears on the paper about 2" along the left side. I have run the clean function several times with no relief. Any thoughts?

Hi,
When setting up a scan to network folder, you need to use a network path, IPaddress\folder name
i.e \\192.168.0.1\scans
In your case \\IP Adress\Scanned Documents\New Scans
Make sure that the user credentials you are using have full access to that network drive.

m175nw will not install on Server 2008 R2
I am attempting to install the M175 on an HP DL380 and all I get as an error message is Error a fatal error has occurred. No other information is displayed. The software installs as expected on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
